Aberdour bowling club invites young participants aged 11 and over to join a fun, hands-on introduction to this sociable and surprisingly competitive sport. This Aberdour Festival legend will be back to capture the imagination of a new generation of wee Earthlings with his charming Scottish songs and space inspired performance.

Bookbug
Join Julia from OnFife for a very special Bookbug on the Beach to celebrate Aberdour Festival. There will be a super seaside story, fun rhymes and songs with sea creatures in them. Weather permitting, the session will be on Silver Sands beach (please remember sunscreen), but if it's a rainy day, we'll be in the Festival Marquee.
Bookbug Sessions are full of fun, stories, songs and rhymes and perfect for families with children aged 0-5 years.

Kids Golf Taster Sessions
Fancy giving golf a try? Members of Aberdour Golf Club are teeing up a fun-filled morning for young players to learn the basics and swing into action!
Kids will get the chance to try putting, chipping and hitting full shots in the practice nets, all under the guidance of friendly, experienced golfers.
No experience needed – just bring your enthusiasm and have a go!

Come and discover some of the amazing animals and plants that inhabit our shores. Do you know your jellyfish from your comb jellies or the difference between top shells and periwinkles? Bring wellies, a
bucket and a towel. This event is a guided activity but self-led. Due to the risk of falls or other mishaps ALL children must be accompanied.
All welcome though recommended for under 10s.

John Henderson’s Backwoods Adventure
Dare to take on the Backwoods Adventure! Challenge yourself in a woodland environment. Wear old clothes and shoes so that you can scramble about in the woods. Please bring a snack and a drink but please note, in case of allergies, this is a nut-free zone! If there are any parents/carers who would like to accompany their children and assist with the Backwoods Adventure, please contact [email protected].
PLEASE NOTE: Meet outside the festival marquee at 9am and then collect your children again from outside the festival marquee 1.00pm. Children can be left unaccompanied. Consent form required.

Join us for a fun-filled few hours for Aberdour’s Teddy Bear Picnic! Bring your favourite teddy bear, a picnic blanket and lunch.
There’ll be games led by the fantastic Active Fife team, snacks, and plenty of teddy-themed fun! Don’t forget to dress your teddy in their finest outfit for the Teddy Bear Parade - kids are welcome to dress to match their bears too!
It’s going to be a beary good time!
All ages are welcome. Please note that children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.
This is a free event, but booking is essential.
