Run by the village, for the village

Aberdour Festival is entirely volunteer-run — from the front gate to the back stage. Roles are flexible, the team is friendly, and no previous experience is needed. Just turn up ready to enjoy yourself.

Where we need help

There’s something for everyone — whether you’re a people person, a practical hand, or just happy to muck in.

Stewarding & welcome

Be the friendly face that greets audiences, helps people find their seats and keeps things running smoothly at events.

Set-up & pack-down

Get hands-on before and after the festival — helping to set up venues and put things away once the fun is over.

Festival Marquee

Support the team in our main venue — welcoming audiences, helping with access and keeping the energy high.

Beach Day & outdoor events

Help make our outdoor events special — from Silver Sands to the playing fields, it’s a great place to be.

Box office & info point

Answer questions, help with tickets and be the go-to person for visitors who want to get the most from the festival.

Drivers & logistics

If you have a vehicle and a bit of time, our logistics team would love your help moving kit and supplies around the village.

Why volunteer?

Be at the heart of the festival — see behind the scenes, meet a brilliant bunch of people, and give something back to this wonderful village. You’ll leave with memories (and probably a few new friends) that last long after the final curtain.

Good to know

Under-18s are very welcome to volunteer, but will need a parent or guardian’s permission before joining the team. Everyone gets a briefing before their shift so you’ll know exactly what to expect.

Every volunteer who gives their time makes Aberdour Festival possible — thank you, from all of us.

The Way our Ticket sales work

In response to community feedback we're trialling running online ticket sales.

Please note: selecting or adding tickets to your basket does not reserve them. Because many of our events have limited capacity, seats remain available to other customers until payment is completed. Your booking is only reserved once you've paid.

Some events also have tickets for sale from the Box Office or Aberdour Bistro. We reserve the right to cancel and refund tickets if this is necessary.

Please remember that the festival is ran by volunteers. Feedback is welcomed at [email protected].
