Ten days.
One wee village.
Zero chill.
Aberdour Festival is back for its 42nd year — the whole village throwing a ten-day party, inspired by the Commonwealth Games up the road in Glasgow. Music, sport, arts, talks, comedy, a raft race and questionable face paint. Less elite athletics, more village chaos (the good kind).
This is not the
Commonwealth Games.
And honestly? Good.
No qualifying times
You don't need a personal best to join in. You need a deckchair, a flask, and a tolerance for bagpipes at 9am.
Inspired by the Games
2026 brings the Commonwealth Games back to Scotland — so Aberdour is doing its own thing. Same spirit, smaller budget, far better cake.
Powered by the village
Every event is run by volunteers who live here. It's a community & arts festival with the energy of a closing ceremony.

Our heron needs a name
He's our headband-wearing, medal-chasing mascot — and after all these years he still hasn't got a name. Help us fix that. Send us your best idea and the winner gets bragging rights (and a front-row seat at the Comedy Night).
Name the Heron →Come and be part of it
The full 2026 programme is out now — ten days, dozens of events, something for everyone. Have a browse, then grab your tickets.
Book online here or on Eventbrite, in person at the Festival Box Office (Aberdour Bistro), or at the Festival Marquee once we're underway.
