Will Pickvance: Piano Diaries

Festival Marquee Hawkcraig Road, Aberdour

Will Pickvance, the virtuoso performer and natural storyteller returns to Aberdour to premiere his entirely new Edinburgh Fringe show, weaving together comic misadventures, fleeting encounters and moments of unexpected beauty, blurring the line between concert and theatre. Music and narrative collide and unravel in real time, in a performance shaped by the room and the audience.

Fragments of life, memory and absurdity played out at the piano.

A show about connection, creativity, and the strange business of being human, told one story, one note at a time.

“Combines epic musical improvisation, hilarity and intimate storytelling” - Three Weeks Editors' Award

“This is what a pianist in the 21st century looks like” - The List

A giant, joyfully unrestrained singalong for Aberdour, with a big screen and songbooks to guide a Marquee full of voices, led from the piano by Will Pickvance. Expect requests, surprises and communal favourites in an evening of music, memory and noise. The evening will include stories from legendary sing songs at Skibo Castle, including Robbie William’s birthday party, in this shared celebration of singing together. No performance required, just participation and laughter as the whole of Aberdour becomes the choir. All ages encouraged. Bring your voice and enjoy.
