About Aberdour Festival, The best small festival in the world!
Aberdour Festival is currently celebrating it’s 36th Festival. It delivers a programme of social, cultural and other associated activities and events for a period of 10 days in the summer each year.
The programme features workshops, talks, sporting events, literature and arts events, readings and exhibitions, theatre, environmental experiences, dance workshops and performances, food and cooking markets and exhibitions, competitions, film and photography experiences and much, much more. All ages are catered for and the Festival strives to ensure the programme is exciting, inspiring, accessible and relevant to as wide a range of people as possible.
In all its activities the Festival seeks to work closely with other groups and organisations in its local area, and where possible and beneficial for the people who live, work and visit Aberdour, with artists, organisations and projects from across Scotland and beyond.
All Committee Members are volunteers, as are the many other people who also run and staff events throughout the 10 days in the summer, including a core group of youth volunteers. There are over 400 people who volunteer in one form or another to plan and deliver the festival.
